Biography
Chris is interested in the synthesis and reactivity of low-valent main group and organometallic (particularly f-element) compounds, especially those featuring unusual bonding characteristics or functional groups, as well as systems whose steric bulk modulates reactivity behaviour (e.g. frustrated Lewis pairs, metallocenes). He is also interested in aspects of ligand design focused on enabling these types of systems to be isolated and studied.
Research Interests
Outside the lab, Chris enjoys snooker and gaming.
